Ubuntu Screen Customizations
Ubuntu Server Edition differs from most server OSs in that it ships without a GUI by default; sysadmins, such as me, rely on a CLI and tools like GNU Screen to manage the OS. This works effectively, and many (including myself) prefer it.
One awesome thing that I saw today is that one of the Ubuntu Server developers is working on including improved GNU Screen profiles into Ubuntu. This means that instead of a blank terminal, your multi-terminal Screen session will include a status bar, current time, window list, etc. I've installed them on my server, and I'm 100% hooked now. I hope this becomes standard across the board, but for now it'll be just another reason I love Ubuntu.
